Useful pedal for a slight overdrive to push clean tones somewhere else, but try to push beyond that and you are in danger of going very thin and pedal noise becomes prohibitive.

Fabulous guitar. So much variation in tone from just one Volume and tone and a single pickup.

Tried out models of this guitar with both humbuckers and P90's against all the Gibsons in-store and the Tokai's blew them away in terms of both feel and sound, not to mention price. Eventually ended up with both models. Gibsons may offer better build quality, but in my experience, they aren't as consistent as Tokai in that respect, so you may end up with a dog if you don't buy in person. Seriously, try a Tokai because at least the ones I've played blow the Gibsons out of the water with clarity.
