Worth the money!

I was very surprised finding this quality for such a price. The Dark Matter might be a digital pedal (which I'm usually not a very big fan of), but it has a wide range of sounds. It varies from a light overdrive type of sound to a heavy crunching sound. I also like the bass and treble knobs. But please TC Electronics: Get better on/off switches on your pedals, because they are very fragile!

the thing about dirt boxes (other than fuzz or specialty boxes like the JHS colourbox) is they're all simulations of tube amp distortion, so its really immaterial how that gets accomplished, clipping diodes, mosfets, a digital model? if it sounds good to you and meets your needs then it is good.

Plot twist: its not a digital pedal. Its analog.

Delay and Ambiance

Very nice pedal. Not just as a delay, but thanks to the modulation setting also an 'ambiance pedal'. When turning the blend knob at 3 'o clock or further, the pedal creates beautiful soundscapes.

Excellent pedal

The ambiance this pedal creates is seriously great. Especially love the Grail Spring and Hall setting. It's great that you can set your reverb in perfect detail AND save it as a preset afterwards. The Echo setting makes this pedal even better, this reverb pedal gives you a delay function with tab which is awesome. The only real downside on this pedal is that it reduces the volume of my dry signal.
