Not the greatest, but it works.

It's a flanger. What more do you want? It flanges. That's about it.

there's flange and flange

tomwilson87

Does a lot more than most flangers do. Has unique toneprint customization. Read a manual or do some research before you post ignorant ratings.

Nice!

Dreamy, vibey, beuatiful reverb. Not so versatile, but it does what a reverb is supposed to do. You don't throw it on to pretend to sound big. You lather it across your guitar sound when you want to speak to someone's empty soul. Thats what its for.

A cheap thrill

This thing is amazing. It has everything that it should, and none of those extra little things that it doesn't. Very basic, but very functional looper pedal. If only it didn't break so often.

Vanilla Dream

Many people will shit on the DS-1, given the chance to. The common knocks are "stale" "standard" and "cheap". But hey, there's a reason it's so standard. It does the job. It does it very well. You might think that it's vanilla, but as Josh Homme once said, "People use vanilla as a synonym for boring… When really, vanilla is the King Shit of Fuck Mountain of ice cream flavors in that, you know, it’s worked its way to the front."

with so many boutique pedals around I actually get excited seeing guys rocking a ds1 or ts9 these days and sounding pretty good in a band context... I've been on this no-nonsense kick lately, just guitar and a straightforward vox amp, and a guy busting out some great rock n roll with a cheap strat, DS1 and a beatup old marshall that his dad bought him? that's pretty alright with me! No-nonsense there. Your hands are gonna make it sound good or not.

Robot rock!

I plugged it in, and immediately realized that this was the one Daft Punk had been using. It cost 30 dollars, so I had to have it.

Irriplacable peice of shit.

I love the way it sounds. I would feel weird playing without it. But its built very poorly, takes up too much space, and the knob is very annoying to use as opposed to the classic buttons. Too bad it sounds so great.

Couldn't be better.

This thing rips. So hard. It has the immediate punch and satisfaction of a solid state without that annoying squeaky clean digital quality many modern solid states have.

This is one of the new ones, not a 70s Acoustic like John Paul Jones used in Zep, right?

lespaul

No, it's 70's. Not sure what year mine is, but it's 70's.
