Well, what can I say? It's a hard road trying to find "The Guitar," especially when it's a Stratocaster. There are so many different options, and it is a very overwhelming decision. You've got numerous factors to take into account, such as, the build of the guitar, the pickups in it, how well it feels to play, heck even who it's made by. All that aside, the Fender Deluxe Roadhouse is one hell of a guitar, it's basically a Fender Deluxe Strat but $500 cheaper. It's geared up with N3 noiseless pickups, it has a unique rotary switch on the middle tone knob that can be engaged by pressing the volume knob in, giving you access to a whole new range of tones, however this feature is powered by a 9V battery and can run out without warning, but you can switch back to the classic Fender tones without needing the 9V. The overall build is actually very impressive for a MIM, the neck feels smooth and easy to play right from the moment you touch it, and the Olympic White finish, with the mint pick guard will have you drooling. Finally, strap this baby up with some Elixir 10's and you've got yourself a quality Strat with bite.
It does have the common hissing sound, however this is only when the distortion is engaged. It is an absolute dream when played clean.
