Great bass for it's price. Bought it for about $370. Only problem is that the low end it significantly stronger than the high end so you NEED a compressor with it. Strong low end though though so it makes it really good for strong powerful bass and sustain.
You would've expect it but this bass can used for virtually anything. I play everything from funk, r&b, jazz, singer-songwriter, pop punk, metal, and prog. I use this bass for all of it and it never lets me down. Sad it's discontinued because I would hate to lose this bass and not be able to get another.
Reasonably priced. Most tuners, I have problems with in being able to easily read it. This is direct and easy to use.
Most compressors that I found, only have about 2 features on it. And most reviews and lists that I found had this compressor at the top of the list. And for good reason! Being compression and maybe volume. With this one, You have multiple features on it to get great compression. Finding the balance YOU want with the Release and Attack and with the Input and Output. Not to mention 4 various ratios to get the right amount of overall compression.
When looking for an EQ Pedal, I wanted one that a lot of frequency options so I could really get down to it and dial into the EQ I want and need. With 10 frequencies, you can really get down to it and get some exact EQ preference which is really useful. Especially when you play so many genres and styles like me. I'll tell, the pop-punk and r&b that I play require 2 VERY different EQ settings and I'm happy to be able to have them set easy.
An innovative distortion pedal. It's essentially a way to EQ Distortion. It's nice being able to get down and really fine tune your distortion to the sound you need. With the low and high-passes being able to go between grit, fuzz, or just some light distortion to highlight the punch the beef of the notes. Versatility is key for me and this pedal gives it.
I mainly use this for practice. Gigs when I need it. My high school had one and I would use it for school shows and pep rallies and it would really pump through. It really kicks out strong bass and will make the room shake. I like the Low, Low-Mid, High-Mid, and High EQ settings on it because that only makes for better sound versatility. I normally leave the contour and vintage buttons off except for the bright button so the highs and tones cut through more because let me tell you again, the bass will KICK. The overdrive feature is fine but I don't like it all that much. It's doesn't so much distortion with it as it does does punch out much deeper and stronger sound to boost. But it's not a distortion feature. It's an overdrive haha. Overall, great and solid amp.

It's nice being able to have an EQ and distortion pedal in one. I used to use my friends for our band until I got my own bass rig with separate EQ and Distortion pedals. But this pedal was very useful. I used my EQ settings for the show and dialed in a good tone and then easily added on the distortion with a multitude of sounds to choose from. Bite and Growl to add some punch and beef and the awesome Alpha and Omega knob to find a good balance between warmer and grittier distortion. Along with the blend so you have just the right of distortion that you want.
