What else do you need from a power supply aside from it powering your pedals?
What else do you need? Well you need it to be silent and if there's some weird electric shit going on you need it to shut down. This thing does both, I honestly don't remember the spects, but I power a Vox Delaylab, a Digital Phaser, a Wah, an MXR Chorus, a OD/Distortion Pedal and an Analog delay and it does wonders. Zero Noise, Argentina Made, Inexpensive (well not that much, a bit over 100 dollars) Awesome.

It's an okay distortion pedal.
Well, I have to admit I purchased the DS1 because I am a huge fan of John Frusciante's playing, and the DS1 is a huge part of his sound on RHCP in quite a few songs. I must say, I haven't been able to make it sound "great" as I thought I would have, It sounds either too bright or too muffled, and I really dislike the clipping on it. Although I have to admit it is a great distortion to just play raw punk rock stuff on.

what kinda amp are you using? The DS1, even stock, is one of those very amp dependent pedals.... I always thought it sounded good through a marshall and basically nothing else

I tried it trough two Laney amps, a solid state one, and a CUB 12, it did sound better on the CUB but i just dislike the way it distorts, like the clipping on it, urgh.

Good entry level, simple interface!
This is a good reliable piece of gear. It's there, it works, you plug it into your computer, plug a guitar or a mic into it, set the levels so there's no clipping, plug headphones or monitors to it, and there you go. There are a few cons to it though. First of all, there hasn't been a driver update in a while, so running it on Win 10 may be unstable, I tried it though, on FL Studio 11 and it worked. It DID give me trouble with USB 3.0, it seems to be incompatible, so if that's your only usb input you're fucked. Also, I would have loved for it to have a level indicator, like a bar kind of thing, it just turns on a green light when it detects a signal, and a red one when it clips, I would've liked one of those graphic indicators that go from green to red like I've seen on other interfaces.
It is a good interface, and as I said before it's just one of those pieces of gear that just sits there and works once you have it set up correctly.

Awesome Starter Guitar
My first guitar, I LOVE IT, the freatboard feels the most natural to me after having played Fenders and PRS's but of course it's because I grew up with it haha. I am now playing a washburn as my main guitar. I can highly recommend it to ANY begginer, but it's not much more than that, an awesome starter guitar.

I get that. I learned my basics on a giant classical guitar with the monster classical nut width, so my 1st strat took some getting used to (plus I was very young for a 25.5" scale)... but then I traded guitars so often through Jr High and High School that everything feels normal to me now. After 25 years, you'll have a collection of a dozen-or-so guitars and there won't be a 'natural' feel anymore, anything you own will feel like home and anything else will be a fun change of pace.

Dual Channel Distortion Pedal
It's a cool Dual Channel Distortion/Overdrive Channel 1 goes from clean to hard rock, it's present on the mid range and it's more of an overdrive. Channel 2 Is a distortion, goes from clean to high gain metal. Only one channel can be on at a time. Both channels feature independent level controls and share a tone knob which adds or cuts highs. Also there's the ISF which lets you go from american voicing to british voicing and every place inbetween.
It's an amazing pedal, it has a high quality buffer that really helps the fact that I have an unmoded vox wah in the chain. It is NOT true bypass (duh) It also has two high luminosity LED lights one green for channel 1 and one red for channel 2. Cool pedal, it's where all my dirty tones come from.

Great review. The green color makes me think the OD side is a TS9 sort of circuit. Is there a famous distortion pedal the distortion side reminds you of? Add it to your review.

Cool wah, Sucks some tone
It's a cool wah, I like it better than the Crybaby pedals, you can tweak the range same way as in a Crybaby, and in my opinion it's a bit nicer sounding when you're on the lower position (less high frequencies) It's a wah, what can I say?

INCREDIBLE Analog Delay with a million sounds inside!
This thing is Amazing, the quality of the repeats, the coloration on the sound. You can create incredible musical landscapes with this, and as I said, it has A MILLION SOUNDS inside. Plug it in, fuck around with the knobs, it can go anywhere to slapbacks to long psychedelic delays. It has modulation too, and it can go all the way from subtle musical, to unusable 8 bit sounding stuff, I love this pedal, it will stay in my board forever.

Cool but highly limited Chorus.
It sounds great, it's a super high quality effect... What can I say? But it gets boring, it only has one knob and it gets... well, boring. I like to mess around with stuff, and don't get me wrong, you can get all from shimmery choruses from the 80's, to come as you are, to some rotary speaker sounding stuff with this pedal, but it only has one knob. What you see is what you get, and what you get is a great sounding pedal with a cool range of sounds, but you won't get an original chorus sound with this.

The one-knobbies like this, the Phase 90, EHX Small Stone and Small clone etc are great when you are gigging all the time. Put one heavy sharpie line down and you can get your settings back every night. They are not fun to play with but consistency is easy and both MXR and EHX did a good job designing pedals that sound good without tinkering. I swore by my 1st edition Small Stone phaser for years as a hired gun because it got a classic phaser sound that will replicate whats on most artist's records just by pushing 1 big knob to about 50%.

Nice, Affordable Multi Purpose Amp
Dual Channel (One Clean, One Dirty) 65 Watt, Solid State, Independent EQ on Each Channel, Spring Reverb, Celestion Speaker.
The clean channel is really clean and transparent, responds REALLY nicely to pedals, I get all my overdrive/distortion sounds from a Blackstar LT Dual pedal and the clean channel responds great to it! It sounds good for those REALLY clean things, but don't expect it to break up, it doesn't.
The Dirty Channel is alright, on low gain settings, it gets fizzy with the drive knob over 5, it's usable for cleans that are breaking a little, bluesy sounding stuff, for rock it may work, for metal it's too fizzy in my opinion.
It's a nice gigging amp, it's LOUD, it's also good for practice, but the speaker starts sounding really nice with the volume around 3 or 4 which is not very Apartment Friendly, I use it with the volume on 1 on my apartment, and if it's late at night i'll back up the volume on my pedals, it is loud.
If you can break this motherfucker, I'll buy you a beer, it's indestructible.

laney has always been good at solid state. I remember as a kid using a Laney Linebacker SS bass head as a guitar amp for clean on a recording where me and a friend wanted a drier sound than the 2 fender tube amps we had at our disposal (we were kids, barely any gear, we both have tons of cool stuff 20 years later). It still sounded remarkably tubey, just not fender.
But, I can break ANYTHING on the road and if I break your Laney for you I want a 6er of Dogfishhead IPA... okay? Let me know when you're ready to see it broken.
