It's a decent second delay

Yes, it's cheap. Yes, it doesn't sound incredible. However, it's amazing for the price. It can make a great delay for a beginner guitarist or as a solid secondary delay for people wanting to move into ambient music. It's not on my board anymore, though, and it never will be again.

Regen is Insane

As long as the regen knob stays low, this pedal behaves really well. The repeats are beautiful and dark, and the modulation effects go from subtle to way out there, and I love having both styles. However, once the regen knob goes past noon, everything goes crazy. This is where it gets fun. Turn the mix knob low and having fun twisting that time knob. The sounds are beautiful.

Jack of all Trades, Master of None

I don't use modulation effects often enough to justify having individual pedals for everything, but I still want to be able to use phaser, tremolo, and flanger when I want them, so this pedal took care of those needs. It's not perfect, and the effects aren't amazing sounding, but they do the job well enough.

Best Distortion I've Ever Used

Two years ago I went on a hunt for a new distortion pedal. I played dozens of pedals during this time before finding the io used. I immediately fell in love with the sound. Despite having tons of gain, it has a remarkable level of clarity. The only problem is that Maury doesn't build pedals anymore, so they can only be found on the used market, and they aren't easy to come by. If you find one, buy it.

Amazing 808 Clone

The thing is built like a tank and sounds absolutely great. It's an amazing 808 close, and it's inexpensive compared to Ibanez's 808. Also, it's built by a small boutique company out of Chicago, and it's always worth supporting small businesses.

Great Pedal

I know a lot of people have issues with these because of tone suck or the string breaking, but the string is an easy fix, and as long as you're smart with placement and buffering, the tone suck isn't a problem at all. It does what it needs to do, and it does it well. I've had mine for two years with no issues.

Powerhouse of a Delay

Quite simply, this thing is a powerhouse. As long as you stay in the realm of normal delay sounds (and even some out there ones), this thing can get the job done. LED display is incredibly useful. I just wish it had some more controls over the sound, but this has been my main delay for the last several years and I don't plan on changing soon.

Great Looper

It does exactly what it needs to do. My only complaint is that the drums that come with it absolutely suck, but those weren't going to get used much anyway.

Lots of features, not the best sound

I picked this up for the octave/shimmer effects as well as the presets, and I was not disappointed. All of the features are wonderful and controls are simple. However, I switched to this from a Neunaber Wet Reverb, and I noticed that the reverb just doesn't sound as good. It still sounds great, and I don't regret changing, but I do miss the fidelity of the Neunaber over that of the Descent. Great pedal though, and it was definitely worth it.

If you ever want to sell it and buy a Neunaber Wet again........ let me know!
