Joyo Analog Delay review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

Joyo's Analog Delay pedal impresses with its compact size and a comprehensive range of delay sounds at an unbeatable price. While it doesn't offer a true bucket brigade device (BBD) experience, it manages to emulate the classic analog delay sound effectively. The pedal handles slapback and dub regeneration well, with natural vintage-style repeat breakups that blend nicely, avoiding the tonal dullness common in some analog delays. However, setting specific short delay times might be challenging due to a narrow knob range. The four-screw battery access and slight treble lift when engaged are minor drawbacks. Overall, it’s an excellent choice for budget-conscious musicians seeking quality analog delay sounds.

It's a decent second delay

Yes, it's cheap. Yes, it doesn't sound incredible. However, it's amazing for the price. It can make a great delay for a beginner guitarist or as a solid secondary delay for people wanting to move into ambient music. It's not on my board anymore, though, and it never will be again.

Great sound for the prize

That's all, good sound for the prize, don't expect the best delay pedal ever. worst thing on it is that you need to plug in always sepparettly any other pedals because of the power problems.

Great

Impressed with the pedal for how cheap it is, and I like the way it looks as well. It is really good for worship music because it is analog and it kind of fades away as it repeats which sounds really cool thrown into the mix.

marcelo_balza

Nice and cheap.

Sounds really warm and it's a bang for the buck. It's sound gives you very solid repetitions with adjustable time, volume (mix) and repetitions. I have used it in a lot of gigs and it's similar to the MXR carbon copy I have.

iain_norman

Great, simple delay

Solid, quiet, transparent analog (style) delay, a fraction of the price of a similar USA made one, fantastic for slapback and echo trails, simple to use and play with.
