A wonderfully nostalgic tone for those looking for something just a little different
For most of my teenage and young adult life, I had wanted to get the early 80s Carvin X-100B Series 3 guitar head. These were made popular with Steve Vai early on and also with Marty Friedman and Jason Becker. The tone is reminiscent of a Marshall JMP, which is what I believe the X-100 is originally modeled after. Two channels (Rhythm and Lead) built-in reverb, and again, that sweet round tone that was part of that 70s era Marshall JMP sound. So happy to finally have this and playing through a cabinet with Warehouse Veteran 30s, it sounds beastly!

A Solid Instrument and Tone for Days
I've really enjoyed picking this guitar up and adding it to the instruments that I play. I will confess I am not proficient with extended range guitars but it is well balanced, no neck dive, easy access to the higher frets even on the lower strings, and the split pickup options on my particular model give me so many great tones to play with. It's heavy but considering the thicker neck that's to be expected and it is lighter than I anticipated it would be. Locking tuners make for great tuning stability. Overall a wonderful instrument even for being ten years old and purchased used.

Perhaps the best "bang for your buck" condenser mic out there
The MXL 770 is the center of my podcasting rig and is also my preferred vocal overdub microphone. It has a full, rich sound, excellent pickup pattern, works wonderfully for voice applications. Requires phantom power. It outperforms many microphones costing hundreds of dollars more, IMO. For a microphone that retails for under $100, this is a winner.

Surprising versatile and a great feel for an entry level guitar
I'll be frank, I bought this guitar for an excuse to experiment and change things out as a demo guitar (think of it the same way a snowboarder would by having a "rock board"). However, I quickly changed my mind and have found it to be a surprisingly good instrument in its own right. I do have plans on changing out the pickups, tuners, and electronics on the regular but even as is and as equipped, it's a surprisingly nice playing guitar. Four stars out of five simply because I bought it used and had the intention of changing its equipment profile but bang for the buck it's quite good.

A Great Way To Turn the Volume Down and Still Hear Everyone
For those who want to be able to create an environment for rehearsal and clarity of listening, or if the desire is just to not have to blast the PA to rehearse with a band, this unit is a serious blessing.

Great little unit for live vocal processing.
Not sure if you can trust the sound person where you are playing, or you just want to have a little bit of control over your vocal performance? Then you need the VE-20. It's simple to use, has a lot of user storable presets, lots of customization and leveling. The harmonizing is a nice addition as well but the effects and natural processing for the voice are the main attraction.

Long time friends, gets the job done
First off, these require an external power amp. Second, they are 27 years old. If you are buying new, there are so many other options out there. Still, I have a soft spot for these after all these years and I just like the way they sound. I am in the market for a new set of monitors but I will definitely keep these as an A/B comparison.

My live mic of choice, always and forever
What can I say, this is a legend. Great frequency response, built like a tank, sounds fantastic and makes for a good vocal recording mic in a pinch. Quite possibly the best bang for the buck choice I've ever made.

Berklee recommended it, I bought it, I love It
This is a warm, clean, and full sounding microphone for vocals. I use it both for recording singing performances as well as my regular mic for recording a podcast. As a mid-sized condenser mic, it performs admirably. For its price, it performs exceptionally.

When you want to be metal but be different about it
Granted, it's an unusual choice for a "metal" guitar but that's why I like it. The Bigsby tremolo is also an odd choice but it's fun and adds interesting dynamics for playing rhythm. Plays well, feels solid, responds beautifully, and fulfills a little bit of a childhood dream as George Harrison was a Gretsch fan, too. A versatile guitar with quite a bit of bite to it.

An oldie but goodie, still going strong after 25 years
I purchased this board back in 1995 for my, at the time, tiny MIDI/recording studio I was setting up. It's gone through a lot of reconfigurations over the years and now it's my band's central hub and primarily feeds an IEM system. It has handled a lot of different configurations and options, thus I consider that its biggest benefit. The mic preamps are good and quiet, the output is clean, no noise or crackles, wish it had more mic inputs but it has an option to expand them if I want to seek it out. On the whole, it's been very good to me for many years.

A nice and affordable entry into a multi-input recording interface
This was a replacement purchase as a change in band members meant equipment we used to have access to we didn't any longer. Researched what would be workable in our price range and came across the 18i20 2nd gen. Opted for it over the 3rd gen simply for price reasons. Worked immediately with Logic Pro X and to date, no latency to speak of. Early days yet but I can already tell the preamps are considerably better than the interface we replaced. We are hoping to update this unit with an OctoPre 2nd Gen as well so I will be happy to come back and update with that experience when it happens. Overall, it works nicely for what we want it to do.
