This is my second bass.
It has a dirty Hofner sound. but with 3 modes. Bass boost, Normal, and Treble Boost. And a solo mode that turn the general volume up.

The big muff is more of a distortion, everyone calls it a fuzz, but its not. There's a little clipping of the 3 transistors south of the 1st gain stage, but most of its signature buzz comes from 2 pairs of back to back diodes between stages to accomplish a huge amount of clipping by shunting signal to ground just like most distortion pedals. The 80s opamp version is very much a pair of DOD OD250s ganged up with tone shaping between them. Remove 1 pair of dioes and you get a colorsound supa tonebender which was also billed as a fuzz but really is a distortion circuit following a mild fuzz. Pretty much if a fuzz pedal has diodes for clipping its a distortion unless those diodes are arranged for full wave rectification to achieve octaving like the univox superfuzz and foxx tone machine.
