My first hardware EQ

This sounds amazing on both individual tracks, buses, and my mix bus.

Pure analog

Picked up a 70s Arp Axxe model 2310 with the Moog ladder filter. This can make some wild sounds. Super punchy and great for bass, especially when I run it through various modulation pedals.

Highly recommend before they go up in price!

Workflow Game Changer

Being able to reach knobs while being in the mix position is key. The racks are within arms reach, the desk is built like a tank, and the mahogany look just looks amazing.

Unique Guitar and an Instant Conversation starter

The neck on this guitar is one my favorites. Plays very well, and can surprisingly cover many genres.. maybe not metal.. but great rock and clean tones.

Everything I need in within reach

I have the mahogany finish model. The wood looks beautiful, way better than any other wood finish on a product I own.

Incredibly sturdy.

The studio monitors can mount so I'm in a perfect equilateral triangle, and I can comfortably to all of my installed rack gear.

LOVE it

I was looking to get a real (reel) tape delay, but after watching reviews and then trying it on my own, it was a no brainer to keep it. I've used it for both my guitar rig, and as an outboard effect.

Using the "Mechanics" and "Wear" knobs is where the real magic happens.

How much better could the Gibson version really be?

Neck feels great. The range of tones are great. The only thing I upgraded was the bridge. I bought mine used for $450.. I'm seeing these now go for over $1000 (May 2022).

I'll be fair and say I've never played the real Gibson version. Would I want it? Absolutely.. but I can't imagine it's worth the $3000 difference in cost. I could be wrong..

What a difference vs VST FX!!

I bought this on a whim when I went to a store and saw it for only $1500 knowing if I didn't like it I could make a profit off it. WOW. I've watched tons of YouTube videos comparing VSTs to Hardware and none of them were truly compelling. When I started using this as an outboard send... NIGHT AND DAY. The reverbs and delays and just so.. clean and crisp I guess you can say. I also own an Eventide Space pedal, but this still beats it by a longshot. Maybe I just needed to actually hear the difference in my own environment with my own gear.

I think a lot of people buy this for their guitar rig.. but using the harmonizing effects & reverbs on synth pads will make any synth lover melt as it just adds another dimension I haven't been able to accomplish any other way. I highly doubt I will ever part with this piece.

Just bought a late 70s model

This flanger gets insane yet can be lush. Couldn’t be happier. It’s also built like a tank.

Bought this over a Martin

This guitar caught my eye from the other side of the store so I requested to play it. SOLD

Chose this over an expensive American P-bass

I went to Guitar Center to look at acoustic guitars when I saw this thing on the top racks. I asked to play it and I was amazed it was $899. It wasn't till after about 5 minutes I realized it was a MIM! Hands down best MIM bass I've ever played. Ended up walking out with a new bass.

Amazing

Amazing clarity and low end. The AutoCal feature is a life saver when it comes to my untreated room.
