Improved item category. It states in the name of the product and in the description that it is a preamp. It is not an effect pedal. It does not provide an effect. No flanger, reverbm modulation, distortion. Like a preamp it provides Gain, Volume and a Tone Stack. As such it is a Bass preamp. You can connect this into the front of your amp, fx loop, use a separate power amp or use it as a di in order to get your bass amp tones.
