My backup rig

I have this in my gig bag in case my HX Stomp fails and I need to get through a gig. It is very close to a Sansamp and will save the day when needed, but I hope never to play it.

Inexpensive DI for Bass!

The Behringer BDI21 bass tone DI pedal is a great way to record bass. I personally use it as a DI in combination with micing my bass cabinet and have got some really nice results! No, its not a Sansamp but its comparable and at a fraction of the cost of the Sans! It has an XLR out, 1/4" ts out, 1/4" ts in. If you get a chance try it out! I paid about $30 US dollars for it new and Im pretty impressed with what I've heard so far. Even if it dies in a couple of years... it was 30 bucks. I spend more than that on strings in a years time. Give it a listen!

Ampeg tone in a box

I use a Yamaha THR bedroom and on the bass mode and it just didn't sound good at all. I added this pedal to my board & used their suggested SVT setting. It's shocking how much better it sounds.

Good, Could Be Better

Obviously this is Behringer-quality stuff, so there's always going to be areas to improve. That said, when I put this up next to the Tech21 Driver and shut my eyes, it's very hard to tell a difference between the two. In fact, the Behringer may even be a little bit deeper and warmer than the Tech21, which is an incredible feat for something that's about a third the price of the "better quality" pedal. My only complaint about it is that it adds a noticeable hiss to my signal chain. Other than that, this is the first Bass pedal I ever bought, and I'm satisfied enough with it not to have to upgrade from it any time soon.

surprisingly good

A great sounding pre this and the 3500 amp + ally cone speakers shape my sound.
