In terms of playability, this is one of the EC-1000’s best qualities. Since the guitar is built so well, it plays like a dream right out of the box. I really didn’t even need to do a major setup when I first got it.
The body features a Les Paul single cut style, but much thinner. This makes it a lot more comfortable to rest in your lap.
It’s also a lot lighter than a Les Paul, so you’ll be able to play long sessions, sitting or standing.
The neck is a Thin U shape, which definitely makes it easy to play on. It’s not quite as thin as an Ibanez Wizard neck, but thin enough so that you’ll be able to shred like a dream.
As I mentioned previously, the fretwork on the EC-1000 is pretty much flawless. I didn’t experience any sharp fret edges or dead spots.
One thing I will mention however is that access to the higher frets isn’t as great as it could be. This is in typical Les Paul fashion. The single cut shape doesn’t allow for your thumb to slide up far enough, so you’ll really need to reach for the higher frets.
Unfortunately for me, I have small fingers, so this is always something that bothers me on single cut guitars.
Aside from that, the playability of the EC-1000 is incredible. It’s every bit as good as a real ESP Eclipse guitar at half the price.
Tough Roadhog, just as James Hetfield is. This guitar delivers, looks unique and sounds like a true badass. Holds tune, there is no weak point with the axe. Little wider U shape neck.
Narrow neck, heavyish, unforgiving. BUT sounds really nice - vintagey. Slight issues with holding in tune. I have 1996 issue from Nashville plant. Currently considering custom pick-ups to replace the P-90s to squeeze more rock out of this jazzish instrument. Hopefully it will work out, will advise.
John 5 signature looks cool, sounds great and is averagey playable. Be sure to experment with strings (type and their height) I always ask luthier to fine-adjust. Better than DYI in my case.
Probably the best main drive mod/preamp I have came across. Very versatile.

Features:
•Noise gate switch

Classic hotrodded higain tone with bells and whistles! This is a modulized preamp of the Soldano® SLO’s famous overdrive channel, but with added features like a 3 position tight switch. This expanded version offers more tweakability, to adjust the tone exactly to your tastes. Used in a custom designed version by world famous producer Michael Wagener in his studio rack.
His words: "It is the best for what I do, It goes from powerful clean (AC/DCish) to super distorted, but still tight."
A unique feature to this mod is the Bite switch. On Overdrive mode this adds higher harmonics depending on dynamics. On Crunch mode it switches between scooped „SRV like“ light crunch and fat crunch based on Soldano® Atomic.
Features:
•Bright switch
•Overdrive/Crunch switch
•Bite switch
•Tight switch 3 pos. (loose/tight/normal)
•Glow in the dark faceplate with snakeskin stripe
Suitable donors:
Super V, Tweed, JTM, Brahma, Plexi, Top Boost, SL+, Mr. Scary, KH-2, KH-3, 1086, Super Plexi, Modern, Ultra Lead, Ultra, Ultra XL, Grail, Treadplate, Recto, Rectified
Delievrs all you would expect. I use only one channel, feeding it by Salvation Mods - Camerock, Chupacabra, Salvado and Shiver.
Part of the flagship UHF-R series provides dual-channel options and cascading for premium wireless.

Whis one never dissapoints. Two things missing to perfection - led light to signal if it is ON or OFF and a longer "run" to go higher and deeper so it wails a bit more.
