I use it like most metalheads use an overdrive, like the tubescreamer, to tighten up the low end. And I get sustain for days isn't so bad either.

Fender Stratocaster American Standard

Don´t know exactly what year, but i bought it new, when they first started with the two pivot tremolo-bridge. I reckoned that it would stay in tune better than the original bridge, but i always had problems with the G-string. Changed to a Wilkinson VS-100 bridge, Spretzel Looking tuners and i got much better tone. Not so bright and sizzling and stays in tune pretty well for a non-locking trem.

Harley Benton G212 (Celestion Vintage 30´s speakers

Bought this one for smaller gigs. The speakers are not broken in yet, and of course it doest have quite the "umphh" from a 4x12, but who would´ve thought that. Highly recommend it. Priceworthy.

Yamaha AES 620 Faded Burst (Honey)

Yamaha´s take on the Les Paul. This is, i believe the midrange model. Mahogany body, maple top. Big, chunky neck. Well built, great tone. I actually A/B´d this one with my -77 Gibson Les Paul when recording, and i always end up using this one for backing tracks.

Marshall 1960AX cabinet

Mine is loaded with Celestion Vintage 30´s speakers. I actually wanted an Engl cabinet but they were a bit too expensive for me.

From crispy cleans to way past "11"!

Before this one, i used a Engl Powerball and i really liked the aggressive tone, but there was something in the sound that i just wasn´t comfortable with. It was the power amp tubes. 6L6´s. So i looked online and found out about the Invader. It had 4 channels so i figured, -Hey! One of those must sound great. Bought it unheard and it melted my heart when i first played it. I only use two channels. #1 for cleans and #3 for the heavy stuff. It's heavy, it's German and it's Metal...

Mine is made in 1977.

Had this one for about 30 years or so. It was the Holy Graal when i was a kid, after seeing Ace Frehley playing one. I was so excited when i finally got it, after saving up for years. Bought it used and it was Christmas, until i plugged it in.. The pickups were dark, dull with no dynamics. I friend of mine recommended Gibson Classic 57 pickups, wich was the best thing back then (from Gibson), if you wanted to have a classic PAF-tone. I have Classic 57 + (bridge) and a Classic 57 (neck). Removed the covers and it do make a difference. Ads more bite and brightness according to me. Also changed to machine heads to the vintage tulipe versions, just for looks.

Built like a tank, sustains for days

The IC400 features a mahogany body with a bound top mated to a maple set-in neck with a 22-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with parallelogram inlays. Components include a fixed bridge and tailpiece and dual Ibanez Axis humbucking pickups with individual volume and tone controls. The latest models were made in Korea between 2004-2007.

I always change pickups on my guitars and i´mcurrently using a Seymour Duncan 78 (bridge) and a Bill Lawrence L450R (neck). I like passive pickups with a hot PAF-ish sound (bridge) and a more low output PAF-ish sound (neck).
