Alan Jackson's Gear

By Tom Rutledge "Strayhorn 7" - "I play acoustic guitar for Alan Jackson and the guitar that Alan was playing is a custom shop Taylor his wife had made for him 2 years ago(2001). It is based on a 610. It has AAA quilted maple back and sides, Sitka top and a custom inlay of Blue Marlin at the 12th fret. Alan is a avid big game fisherman.

"Alan's guitar is 2 years old (Sept 2001), so was built before the ES system. It has a Fishman Matrix bridge pickup with an early Baggs preamp mounted in the guitar. This is what he has used for a decade or more and it is what he is used to... so we stuck with it on this custom shop guitar."
