“To celebrate our love, I decided to pay a special tribute to Selena with my favorite guitar. It was a white Jackson guitar. One night, Selena and I were doing a presentation, when my good friend Tony Gonzales came to see us. Tony was an artist. When he came to see us to the bus after the presentation, he brought me a t-shirt with a portrait of Selena painted on it, that gave me an idea. I had always wanted an artistically decorated guitar and wanted to choose a decoration that symbolized something important in my life. So I said to my friend Tony to paint the portrait of Selena in it. When we returned to introduce ourselves in Austin, Tony brought me the guitar with a magnificent portrait of Selena in it, then I took the Jackson on stage. When she came, I told her: look, I want you to see what Tony did - i pointed to the Jackson. Selena was amazed and opened his eyes excessively. -I can not believe that you have done that for me! During 90's Chris Perez started using the white and sunburst Fender Stratocaster Richie Sambora with Floyd Rose for "Selena y los Dinos", In the video he can be seen playing the white one.
