Chris Poland endorses the Yamaha MagicStomp, and made a preset for it.
" I had a Gibson 2x12 amp, but I have no idea what model it was. Well, that's what I was told it was anyway. But now that I think about it, it was probably some kind of wanna-be Gibson amp. But it was a tube amp though, which was great. I think it had 6V6s in it. I used to put it in the basement and run an Electro-Harmonix LPB-1 [Linear Power Booster] through it. I would just beat the piss out of it. I'd cover it with a blanket because it would be so loud that way my parents wouldn't freak out. It actually sounded good."
"I had just gotten those Eminence Man O War speakers, and those speakers, a Roger Mayer fuzz, and a cranked Marshall power amp made that sound. It was that tone that made me play that way."
Chris mentions early in this video (at 1.19) that he switches amps via Bob Bradshaws (Custom Audio Electronics) 4 X 4 and RS-10 Midi Foot Controller. At 3.13 in the video he again mentions the 4 X 4 - "It's just 4 loop and 4 on/off switches". Again at 5.06 Chris mentions his 2nd 4 X 4 - "I have another 4 X 4, because I use all the channels. I have 8 loops and 8 on/off switches. It works out great, there is no latency and the tones are really pure. It sounds good."
