At 20:00 of this "Rig Rundown" with Premier Guitar, Doug talks about this custom bass. Premier writes in this article "Wimbish's main instrument is a 1987 Custom Spector Bass with the body and neck shaved down to be thinner and lighter with EMG pickups."

This site mentions the signature DW Spector.

At about 0:16 into the video we can see Doug playing a Warwick streamer bass with a natural finish. While Doug is known for playing Spector basses, but this one is distinctly a Warwick by the 2 piece 3D bridge and JJ pickup configuration. This bass also appears in live videos dated around his joining of Living Color, (circa ‘92-93)
