Jojo Mayer uses the Sabian 14" Hoop Crasher, as highlighted by Sabian's Marketing Manager, Luis Cardoso. This versatile effects cymbal is popular among many top artists, including Tim Austin, Rodney Howard, and Mark Guiliana, who all incorporate it into their setups.

At 6:48 in this video from SabianVault, Jojo says about the El Sabor Salsa Splash, "I choose because I was looking for a small sized cymbal that doesn’t sound splashy, but sounds like a pinched up crash cymbal."

Sabian has coordinated with Jojo Mayer to come up with a complex blend of raw tone and semi-dry 'tah' stick sounds which combines for a fierce yet controllable ride.
