0:30 "The next stick is the Marcus Gilmore model. It's close to a 7A, but it's a nice light jazz stick. The tip is a reverse teardrop which provides for a full sound on drums and cymbals so you can get a full sound without having to work hard."

Marcus' new signature stick with Vic Firth

"The diameter of this is actually an extended 85A. So it's an 85A diameter but it's a bit longer. The tip of this stick is pretty unique, and I wanted to create something that had some variety in terms of the type of shape that's actually touching the cymbal or touching the drum. So, it's kind of flat on the sides at some point, but then there's also like a really nice right angle on the top too, to give you the option of drawing out different types of sounds from your cymbals, and from your drums. It's a very clear definition, and it brings out a lot of tone from the instrument, I felt like that was the most important element of this particular design."

Drummer Marcus Gilmore is confirmed to use the Zildjian 7" FX Blast Bell Cymbal as hi-hats, as demonstrated in a performance video by the Avedis Zildjian Company on YouTube. In the video, Gilmore mentions, "I've been using a variety of Zil-Bell hats for some time now, but never with this particular profile (talking about the blast bell). I'm into it, it's a little bit lower in frequency other than some of the ones that I have which I really appreciate." This performance is part of Zildjian's Vault series, showcasing Gilmore's setup, including the FX Blast Bells.
