Michael Cavanagh "Mickey Cavs"

Cavs uses the Ludwig Acrolite for live shows and in studio. In the King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard the making of their LP "Flying Microtonal Banana" (Peeling The Flying Microtonal Banana) Cavanagh is seen showing of his drum set. The Acrolite is visible at 2:39.

During Cav's solo for Gaia @ Coachella, a camera closeup shows his Ludwig Jazz Festival 5x14" Snare Drum with Keystone Badge and Blue Sparkle finish. This snare has been used since King Gizzard's "Timeland" festival on March 5th, 2022.

Cavs can be seen using a 5x14" Ludwig Supraphonic in the live stream from King Gizzard's second night in New York City, identified by the smooth shell and imperial lugs. The snare has been used on King Gizzard's "Phantom Island" tour and sits at a medium-low tuning, providing a beefier sound to suit the orchestral sound.
