Ryan Folden

In the Digital Tour Bus episode "Gear Masters (Revisited) Ep. 28," Ryan Folden, drummer for Lacuna Coil, showcases his Mapex Black Panther Wraith Matt Halpern Snare Drum. At 1:23, Folden states, "Well, I will show you my snare drum which I'm really excited about. This is the signature snare drum of a guy named Matt Halpern, who plays drums in Periphery and this is his custom model and it's an absolute monster. I think it's a 14x5.5" and he's got vented holes all over it like this you see here. Anyway, it's incredibly dry, incredibly responsive, it's probably the first snare I've ever played where my ghost notes actually cut which is astounding. So that's probably my favorite piece. So nice job Matt Halpern on designing it. Just a beautiful snare drum."
