In August, Shannon Leto transitioned from using Sonor drums to an SJC Custom Drum Kit. This change is documented in a YouTube video by SJC Custom Drums titled "Shannon Leto of 30 Seconds to Mars joins the SJC Drums family," which offers a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of his custom setup. The kit specifications include M5/M7 maple shells, rack toms sized 8x6, 10x6, and 12x6, floor toms measuring 16x15 and 18x15.5, a 20x20 kick drum, and a 14x5.5 cast aluminum snare. The drum kit features black paint on both the inside and outside of the shells, black nickel hardware, tube lugs, black rhinestone inlays on all hoops, mirror chrome SJC badges, and a custom reso head.
