TC Electronic PolyTune 3

Simply a great polyphonic tuner, I don't know why everyone doesn't use one.

Lush Analog Tremolo

Doing one thing exceptionally well, Diamond makes the best sounding tremolo I have ever heard.

The Tweed Amp Tone

Another favorite of mine, the Wampler Tweed '57 provides the feel of a tweed era Fender amp. For songs that benefit from that tweed sag, the Tweed '57 is convincing and easier to pack than another amplifier.

My most used OD Pedal

When I want great overdrive response without deafening volume, the Wampler Black '65 is one of my favorites. As you might guess from the name, it replicates the classic tones of a blackface Fender Deluxe Reverb combo amp.

Simply a Great Guitar

What else can I add? The Stratocaster is a classic for countless reasons. Brilliant tones, perfectly shaped body, great neck and it just looks awesome. The Stratocaster is THE electric guitar.

A Classic, Since 1953

It's easy to love a Telecaster. If I could only own one guitar, this might be the one.

P-90 Growl in a Lovable Les Paul Body

Fitting into my guitar tonescape between two classics, the Telecaster and humbucker equipped Les Paul, the easy to play and lovably sized LP Special with P-90s is simply a joy. It produces wonderful sounds, beautifully clean to gnarly, screaming overdrive, the P-90 does it all.

Les Paul Humbucker Growl

This is the hottest guitar I own, it gets loud, the pickups are excellent. Sustain for days. Great neck. A rock-n-roll machine, loves a Marshall-style amp. Heavy, sling this for 2 hours and you'll notice the weight.

Perfect Practice Amp

Gorgeous overdriven breakup without pedals. Crank it up and play. Perfect size for studio, study or your bedroom. Small, light, lovable. A classic.

Sums up why I want one well! Do you have a vintage or reissue amp?

racingstripes

Reissue. I play the Tweed Champ more than my DR because it is so handy. When I have some extra time, plug in & play. A new progression comes to mind, plug in & play. Want to practice something new, plug in & play. The sound is lush and big enough to easily fill normal size rooms.

Great tone, rugged workhorse

You see the '65 DR used everywhere for a reason, it sounds great and can gig forever.

Good reason if it’s a reissue. The current ones aren’t so good on build. Rattle off a lot! And not just taking the 65 one. The entire current line up does. Best to get an old used one instead. That’s why so many 2019 and up models are $800 all day long. But if they already got a newer reissue fixed up with a tech, may be worthwhile at the price. New reissues rattle way too hard for me to even record. May have better luck with a drummer on full blast to drown it.
