I took a chance on the Quilter 101 Mini head -- read some reviews and thought "what the heck?" I was impressed initially by the size (tiny) and volume (substantial) ... and I'm still impressed. The "Voice," "Tri-Q," and "Hi-Cut" controls are amazing tone-shaping tools. It can do a very convincing Bassman impersonation, sound like a Vox AC30, or even a Mesa Boogie -- it's all analog, but you'd swear you were hearing digital modeling ... if it wasn't so warm and full. Highly recommended!
I bought one of the reverse headstock "Jimi Hendrix" maple necks off Reverb a few months ago as an upgrade to my "Franken-Strat" (80s Strat body, two 357 Custom P90s). Love the feel of the neck -- nicest maple neck I've ever played. Takes awhile to get used to the reverse order of the tuning keys, but other than that, it's great -- it's both a head-turner and real player's upgrade!
