Great in so many ways.
Obviously the Tube Screamer in general has been a staple in so many boards for the longest time, but all of the hype around it is absolutely true. This pedal can do everything from a nice transparent overdrive, to a thick saturated rhythmic overdrive. I also like to use it as a boost on my crunch channel to give it that kick for a solo or lead tones. Pair this with a strat and you can get the nicest blues tones too, give it just enough drive to start breaking up and you can go from clean to dirty just with a little extra gusto on your pick strokes. The high mid range of this also helps when using it to layer on other pedals that have an EQ. Love it and will always have one.

Big tone, small package.
Love this pedal, I haven't had it on my board for a long time but the range of tones that I get from it have quickly made it a favorite of mine. You get everything from the subtle vintage Phase 45 tone to a nice saturated Phase 90 tone. The "script" button also allows you to take the feedback circuit out, making the effect much more subtle and sort of a "sprinkles on top" kind of feature to your tone. I use it for everything from getting that classic rock lead tone, to adding a little bit of phase to an ambient swell to give some texture. I also love how small it is. One thing I will say, it probably has the brightest LED I have ever seen on a pedal when you turn it on. The good news is I never have to wonder whether it's on or not. Great addition to any board!

So many options and great looper!
This pedal has served me so well. I'll admit it, if i had the extra money, I would have bought myself a TimeLine a long time ago. I picked up my DL4 used quite a while ago and it has been a valuable part of my board ever since then. Although it doesn't have quite as many options as some of it's competitors (few can keep up with Strymon), it still has more effects and combinations than I have ever been able to put together and there has never been a delay lick that I haven't been able to replicate with this guy. It's also very easy to use and figure out and the controls are straight forward and logical. On top of all that the looper in it works great and gives you even more options with stop/play button, a "play once" button, and even some settings that allow half speed and backwards playing of your loop. I love this pedal and I have a hard time seeing myself let it go after all we've been through.

Worth the extra money.
The legends told of this pedal are all true. It is absolutely without a doubt the nicest sounding reverb pedal I have ever heard. The tones and pads you can lay down with this thing are so beautiful and add so so much if you know how to use it. Strymon has always made quality stuff and this is no different. Although the price is high I still rate it 5 stars because it was worth every penny in my opinion. The shimmer effect is amazing and on max decay you can create some really beautiful ethereal sounds. Pair it with a looper and you can make your own orchestra with just your guitar. One of my favorite purchases ever!

I love it, Blackstar just can be a pain sometimes.
Despite some of the issues I have had, this still remains one of my favorite pedals I have owned. I have a solid state amp so being able to get that warm tube sound from this pedal pairs so well with my amp. It's got an amazing crunch channel and the overdrive is super cutting and really rips. I have owned 2 of these in my time, the first one had some sort of electronic defect on one of the boards and it died on me. The second one I now have is still chugging but the 16v or 22v power supplies (depending on the model you get) are a pain in the butt. Despite this the pros outweigh the cons and I still think the tone I get from it is pretty amazing and that's why I put up with it. It has definitely shaped and influenced my sound and style!

Solid pedal and pretty reliable!
I've had this one for a long time (who hasn't) and it has yet to fail me! Every once in a while the volume will have a jump from nothing to about 30%, but every time that has happened I just fiddle with the spring a little bit and it has fixed the problem. I love to use it to create swells and ambient sort of sounds and the volume has a very nice even rise. Definitely a staple in my board!

The Display is the best part!
Let's be honest a tuner is really important on your board and nothing is worse than not being able to see that darn light to know if you're in tune or not. This pedal has a huge light up display that will be completely orange if you are not in tune and fully green when you are. I think it's a great one to have in a live setting as there will be no chance of mixups and it's real easy to see even with a bunch of lights and other stuff going on around you!

Such an amazing and versatile power supply!
I absolutely love this power supply, it's small enough that I can strap it to the bottom of my board and it's got enough juice to power everything as well. I especially love the feature that it can be compatible with Line 6 and Strymon pedals as it means I don't have to lug around another cord that will inevitable get tangled in the moving process. Makes traveling with my board much less of a chore and reduces the amount of outlets I need(I used to take up an entire power strip)! Super convenient and worth the money in my opinion, I should have gotten one years prior!

Awesome effects and reverb! The looper is just missing one thing....
I bought this pedal looking for a multi-effect pedal that I could easily implement on stage into my vocals. This pedal has almost everything you could ask for, the effects sound nice and the interface can be easily used to tweak your effects to perfection with a little practice. The harmonies are a little tricky and if you don't sing exactly on pitch it doesn't sound great. But if you set it up properly with the key it can add some nice stuff. The only thing that I really wish this pedal had was a way to paused and resume the loops you create... The looper works well, it's easy to figure out and use but there is no way to pause your loop or play it only once which really leaves something to be desired especially if you were in a live acoustic setting and were relying on your looper as part of your backing track. None the less it's a solid pedal and it has served me well in the time I've had it.

"Solid" Solid State Amp
Solid state amps often get a bad wrap especially when it is trying to emulate the unforgettable sound of a tube amp. This amp is honestly a great sounding amp, although I mostly use the clean channel, the overdrive channel is unmistakably Marshall in characteristic. The clean channel can be pushed just before the breaking point and when you add overdrive or crunch to it with a pedal it dirties up very nicely. Clean tones are crisp and clear and it is very versatile. The effects that are built in are fine but since I have a full board of pedals I rarely find myself using them. The one effect that I think sounds pretty nice is the chorus effect, it's very vintage and can add a nice layer to your tone. Overall it's a great amp for the price and is a great place to start if you don't have the budget for the more expensive tube amps.
