I got this bass made from Warmoth as I'm left handed and wanted a Bass VI, overall it's a solid sounding bass, though the bridge is a bit rattly and I would advise either replacing it with a StayTrem or a Mastery bridge. It also lacks a strangle switch which the Fender has.
This bass is a custom instrument I've had made for myself for professional recording and larger gigs, I feel that its tone is second to none, it has a very bright, forward sound and the neck is very fast and feels great.
Overall, I find the Epiphone Thunderbird to be a decent practice bass for jam sessions or performing in smaller venues, my only gripes with it are the lack of inlays, and perhaps a slightly muddier tone than I'm used to.
I found this guitar very high quality for the price, it's superb at shredding and tapping, and doing heavy metal with, however its cleans and chords on the higher frets have something to be desired for.
