Not Bad!

One of a couple hand-me-down guitars I have, this being my first steel-strung acoustic. The model I've got is designed to be an exact copy of an Ovation, which I quite like the look of. I had misremembered the guitar as feeling larger and more unwieldy than it actually was until digging it back out after getting a Fender Dreadnought as a Christmas gift to compare, but while the plastic bowl back makes the guitar slide around more and not grip to me as well, the curvature helps for comfort and playability in the same way that a tummy cut on certain electric guitars I own do. It's also a fair bit smaller than my Dreadnought, which to me personally only means less opportunities to knock it off of anything in my vicinity, which is still a plus!

Consistently My Main Guitar

Originally belonging to my dad, who gave it to me when I started playing guitar after going pretty much untouched for quite a while, and it is still my main guitar years later. It's definitely the easiest to play out of everything that I own, the neck is slim, enough material to grasp onto but with zero excess, it's quite light, especially in comparison to my Westfield Les Paul clone which weighs down on me after standing with it for too long and the forearm contour makes it very cosy for my picking hand.

Certain things have been modified, such as the pots, but I find the stock bridge humbucker on this notably nice, great for stuff that's sludgy and chuggy, but it also has a lot of clarity to it. This is also currently my only guitar set up with a HSH configuration and a 5-way switch, and I definitely like having all those tonal options, especially for music that is on the mellower side of things.

Fairly good given the pricing

Got this as a gift. I've had this for a few years now and it has served me quite well, though I have a handful of gripes with it. Firstly, I seem to get more pitch drift on the low string than is to be expected proportional to the string gauge, which I've compared recently with my 8-string which is currently set up with more slack and yet seems to warble less. I'm also not entirely on board with the stock pickups, when I play the low string by itself it has a somewhat shrill, clanky sound to it. Other than that I'm happy with this one, It plays very well and I haven't had any issues with the hardware yet.

An extremely fun instrument to handle

Managed to try this one in person before buying it, had been looking for an 8-string for awhile and this one did not disappoint. The tone is equally clear and punchy, as opposed to the muddy sound that I've heard people describe in regards to particular 8-strings. It has great tuning stability, and it's comfortable to play despite the widened and elongated neck. I've found that getting used to this 8-string was easier than getting used to my 7-string, and I've also not ran into any hardware issues or roadblocks so far since I got it, it didn't even need any intonation.

A decent beginner's guitar

Got this back in 2018. It plays pretty well but the guitar has required modification overtime because some of the parts it came with were particularly low quality, specifically, I had to get the tuners replaced a year or two ago because the stock ones somehow had started to wear out and disassemble, and whenever they were tightened, they'd always loosen again. Nowadays it's holding up quite well.
