It is the most intuitive DAW. FL Piano Roll is legendary. Great support for VSTs and awesome stock plugins. Very easy to get started with (just download a fully functional demo and get started making music) and the version 20 has some huge improvements.

Switched to this one recently

I had been using the Fruity Reverb plugin that comes bundled with FL Studio but found the oprions and presets insufficient for a recent piano melody i was creating.

So I thought of using this one and the results were truly satisfying.The PRO-R is a highly professional piece of software and is a breeze to use.

Simple and beautiful

Best drum loop designer

Was struggling to find a decent plugin that allowed me to build-up drum loops without entering or playing each part manually. Finally found it and have never touched another plugin for standard drum sequences

Great for recording vocals

Although I donot use it as my main DAW, but for recording vocals over pre-made tracks it is really great. As a full-fledged DAW it is probably the best at this price range.

a very good alternative to buying a MIDI keyboard

Really great piece of software that allows you to play most of the keys of a real keyboard via your computer keyboard. All the keys are fully customizable and it also has built-in VSTi plugins support! Simply amazing.

I use it with LoopMIDI (virtual MIDI ports) to play instruments on my DAW

One of the best freely available piano plugins

Had been using mda_piano and came accross it at vst4free.com and have been using it for most of my piano melodies now.
