Sonic Academy really out did them selves with this product. It takes the complex processes of making kicks and simplifies it so much that anybody could use it while still giving tons of control over the sound.
I actually take this guy everywhere.. It offers so many features in a little contraption and the microphones are perfect. I love that Zoom added the feature to change the rotation of the microphones from 90 degrees to 120 degrees for a wider sound.
I use this on all of my tracks. It's frequency overlapping feature helps me get the cleanest mixes and it's also great as just a polisher over the master channel!
If you like NI Massive then you'll like this! The reason why I think Serum is better though is because you can import your own wavetables into the vst!
