Same factory as Epiphone...
This was my first bass. From my research, I have concluded that these guys are made in the SAME FACTORY as the Epiphone viola basses, which retail for $399. The trapeze bridge is the same. the controls and veneer are the same. if not in the same factory, they are using the same parts. But I remember reading on talk bass that they are as well.

Could play better
I bought my first 5 string at the recommendation of my guitar players and this was the cheapest one I could find that still felt good. The push-pull knob is nice and can come close to a jazz bass when split. The stock pickups are not anything to write home about and finding the same size pickups to change them out with is difficult. The tuners are the generic Chinese tuners but with Schecter branding. overall it is a very nice playing bass.

"THE STFU PEDAL"
Cost me $8, It tunes guitar fairly accurately. It doesn't tune bass at all. I use it as a mute pedal so if I need to shut up I just stomp it on. I really just bought it for the name, to be honest, but it has become one of my go to bass pedals. At least until I get something proper.

Not real isolated jacks
I run mine modded to take a plug input from a standard power cable (same ones used for my head) mounted on the side of my pedalboard. I have also modded one of the 9v outs to connect to a single LED I wired to light up my board just enough so that I can see it in the dark. It is a PSU for the money, and that is why I gave it 2 stars. However, it is advertised as isolated jacks and i have seen images of these opened up and they are indeed NOT isolated.
