Welcome to what happens when you stop settling for compromise. Designed by our Black Country Customs team in collaboration with Billy Corgan and Brian Carstens, the SUPERGRACE LOUDPEDAL brings together two decades of amplifier innovation.
You've got the modern, high-gain mastery of the Carstens GRACE.
You've got the legendary raw power of the Laney SUPERGROUP.
And now they're both here, engineered into our LOUDPEDAL platform. 60-Watts of portable pedal board power.
TWO AMPS, ONE LOUDPEDAL The SUPERGRACE LOUDPEDAL unites two fabled amplifiers tonal universes, split into two distinct channels, one channel for each amp:
The GRACE channel based on the U.S.A hand-wired Carstens Amplification Grace. After the fated meeting of Billy Corgan and amp designer Brian Carstens. The Carstens Amplification Grace was born from Billy Corgan's lofty request for unheard amounts of gain, headroom and distinct tone.
The SUPERGROUP channel based on the unfiltered British aggression of the Laney Amplification Supergroup. Designed by Laney founder, Lyndon Laney, back in the late 60s the Laney Amplification Supergroup shaped early heavy metal, influencing Billy and every generation since.
Designed in collaboration UK and USA, built into one compact floor unit.
“Billy told me that he wanted to give the average guitar playing customer the chance to own his live rig, tone – worth $100,000s – so that’s what we did!” - James Laney
“It’s really solid, there’s so much body to the notes” - Billy Corgan
THE GRACE CHANNEL: ARTICULATE PRECISION The GRACE channel offers vast amounts of exceptionally responsive gain. Move between clean, crush and overdrive with the turn of a volume control, or by just using a lighter touch.
THE SUPERGROUP CHANNEL: TIMELESS AUTHORITY The SUPERGROUP channel captures the harmonic uniqueness and raw power of the Supergroup. Uncompressed, unfiltered crunch with an expectational midrange presence and tight, beastly low end. The result delivered a visceral connection between player and amp.
CLEAN/DIMED The ‘clean’ mode on the SUPERGROUP channel replicates the clean, open sound on an LA100BL. Increasing the gain adds natural tube-like harmonics giving a little warmth to your tone. The SUPERGROUP channel in ‘dimed’ mode emulates the over saturation of the output transformer when the LA100BL is cranked full on! Generating rich sub-harmonics which are iconic to the LA100BL tones heard on so many records.
BOOST - HIT IT HARDER Need more gain, level or just a lift during a solo? The footswitchable front-end BOOST can be used to push your SUPERGRACE LOUDPEDAL further into the abyss. The BOOST can be used as overdrive pedal that brings out even more gooey harmonic richness from an amplifier run hard. The status of the BOOST function is recalled per amp.
3 BAND EQ The powerful 3 band EQ on the SUPERGRACE allows you to dial in the exact tone you are looking for at any volume.
BRIGHT FUNCTION The BRIGHT features on the SUPERGRACE is really useful in helping you get the best performance of the grace amplifier, allowing you to choose the character of the grace amp and how it sits against the SUPERGROUP side of the amplifier from a tonality point of view.
TONE The TONE control on the SUPERGRACE works exactly like the tone control on your guitar, but at the end of the signal path, allowing you to fine tune the SUPERGRACE to the environment you are playing in.
REVERB The SUPERGACE houses a high-quality digital reverb algorithm taken from the acclaimed SECRET-PATH reverb pedal. The Reverb is footswitchable and can also be controlled by MIDI.
FX LOOP The SUPERGRACE effects loop is ultra transparent and is capable of handling everything from vintage pedals to high end rack mount units.
This transformer-isolated FX loop functions as a line output giving you the routing flexibility use your SUPERGRACE as a high-end boost pedal that sits in front of your current guitar amp.
BUILT FOR MODERN PERFORMANCE The SUPERGRACE is engineered for the modern touring and studio professional. LA·IR Laney Advanced Impulse Response technology ships pre-loaded with Billy's preferred IRs, whilst the USB Type C connection provides latency-free audio streaming to your DAW. Run backing tracks through the 3.5mm auxiliary input, switch all footswitchable features via MIDI CC, or practice silently through headphones.
LA·IR Technology LA·IR Technology LA·IR technology allows you to have two IRs stored on the device. You can actually have more than that in the app, but two on the device.
Each IR can have independent fully parametric EQ.
Should you want a non-cabinet emulated DI out signal you can simply turn LA·IR off.
MIDI All the footswitchable functions on the SUPERGRACE can be switched via MIDI CC commands
USB type C The USB type C connection provides convenient audio streaming to your DAW and connection to the LA·IR app.
IT’S A REAL AMP The SUPERGRACE is a complete and versatile guitar amp that fits on your pedal board.
Use it as a high-quality twin channel drive pedal in front of your existing amplifier. As true guitar amplifier connected to a passive guitar cabinet. Or a truly silent rig, utilising the onboard IR's.
HANDCRAFTED IN THE UK Every SUPERGRACE is meticulously constructed at our Black Country Customs workshop in Birmingham, England.
