Description
The CTE‑2000C Custom Tape Echo by Hiwatt
The Hiwatt Custom Tape Echo CTE‑2000C is a rare, compact analog tape echo/delay unit designed to deliver warm, natural tape echo tones that many players find richer and more musical than typical digital delays.
Built with a free‑running tape system that minimizes wow and flutter, it offers up to around 1.5 seconds of delay time and multiple echo modes for both short and long repeats.
Its all‑analog signal path avoids integrated circuits, instead using minimal transistor/FET stages for a clear, low noise character.
Rack mountable and footswitch/expressions options add performance flexibility, while front‑panel controls let you mix, time, and repeat your echoes to taste. This unit accepts instrument, mic, or line‑level signals, making it versatile for studio or live use.
