Very versatile awesome sounding fuzz pedal
It can go from light square-wave overdrive, to Hendrix style fuzz face, to broken gated fuzz.
The only thing I can complain is the level of the output. It's considerably lower than your average pedal, and I always keep the volume knob at max when using one side individually. The real problem arises when you start combining both fuzzes for gated sounds. Of course it's expected that combining them would cause a volume drop, but given that the natural output of the pedal is already very low, it's very hard to achieve gated sounds in a good volume without other pedal to boost it.
Overall I'm kinda in love with this pedal for it's sound, versatility and quirkiness. I usually use it for an overdrive sound with the white side, or for gated fuzz with an overdrive after it .

Surprisingly amazing!
Does it sound as smooth as a pog? No, especially the upper octave.
BUT, where I live, a nano pog would cost literally 4 times what paid in this little guy. Taking this into consideration, the Tender Octaver Mkii actually surprised me a lot when I tried it the first time. The swell function is awesome! To me it's seems like the attack cut really helps to hide the imperfections of the effect. I've also found that some eq tweaking goes a long way to improve how smooth the octaves will sound.
This pedal is amazing for those on a budget who just want to play around with the effect, but compared to the big names it just sounds okayish and limited, even with the 3 different voices. That's mostly due to how hard it is to make the upper octave sound good.

It's worth the price if your starting out, for sure
This is stupidly inexpensive, and if you tweak it enough with eq it can sound pretty decent. That if you already have an interface to go with it, of course.
Do yourself a favor and throw that XLR-P2 cable that comes with it in the thrash.

Great for the buck
Pre-amp gets noise around 2 o'clock. It makes it hard to record clean vocals with dynamic mics without more gear. Great to start for those ( like me) who can't afford to pay for a focusrite one.
Actually, now that i think about it, if I had the money for a focusrite nowadays, I would probably go for the 4 channel version of this one instead.

you can buy a used focusrite 2i2 on ebay for around $100, sometimes less... I know, I've been looking because I want something for my laptop so I can edit on headphones wherever I am. Is the U-phoria 202 THAT much cheaper?
