Incredible results
I am using this as a post EQ for my distortion pedals. It provides a lot of tweaking on the frequencies but always resulting in a "natural" sounding. It is addictive, once you use it you won't turn it off anymore! I head some tech stuff, the passive coil analog EQs are simple circuits that, differently from active circuits, it phases out the affected frequencies only a little, almost negligible for human ears. It is amazing how you can find several interesting adjustments, this is high end studio quality piece of equipment. However, it is intrinsic from coils to be susceptible to generate noise if contaminated by other magnetic field sources, so caution should be taken to place other equipment close to it.

Fidelity
It really does not seem to change any of your tone when its on. I used it with a very noisy high gain distortion and there is a very sensible position on the knob where it really cuts the fading feedback right after palm mutting the guitar and does not mess with the sustain on riffing or soloing. I bought it used and the 9V input jack has broken after only using it twice. Using with battery was also not working as it was some signs of battery leakage in the compartment, I really need to open it and see what is damaged to turn it on again.

Nice...
Tonally speaking, it sounds great! The Bass control is very responsive, it has a strong deep end on the normal output but it cuts too much on the direct line output. I miss high ends. In comparison with an old Piranha and the Buguera 6262 (copy from Peavey 5150), the Channel 2 is darker and still less agressive even at full gain, but it has a more pleasant sound than Piranha and more defined than the 6262. I swapped the JJ tesla tube that came with it by a Ruby Tube to have a less mid-focused tone and get more high and bottom ends. It worked a little but I "touched heaven" only after I placed an EQ after it, bringing up more highs and then more agressiveness! I am using CH1 for solos, great and even more defined tone with enough compression for it, despite it throws up some squealy harmonics sometimes. Oh, and this unit is IMPOSIBLE to use the high gain setups without a noise gate. Too noisy!

Punchy
I find it very close to the Eminence The Governor, but with a subtle richer bass and better definition on high distorted sounds. The Governor though has more kick on the mids, a little more aggressive. I really love to use the pair! I used it with Eminence The Governor in a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier to record all the guitars of the album Obliterate, from the band Gammoth.

More than words: you could just check the comparisons in Youtube. I find the homemade video comparisons more reliable, but you can notice how great this speaker sounds against others. Definition
It took me two or three months to decide which pickup to install on a custom guitar, and this one had actually changed my opinion about active pickups. This is not about high gain, this is all about great and quick response out of this low impedance active pickup. Great definition on highly distorted tones and for the cleans, I really got impressed how much it get close to passive humbuckers. Totally satisfied with'em!

Distinct sounding
I would repeat the same feedback I read from it: we know that there are more appealing and attractive choruses in the market. However, sometimes I find some settings with this little blue here which are so distinctive and warm... I had some moments in recording sessions which other guitarists and the studio tech also got surprised with the results. It is not always that I get this amazing impression from it. I think that it "wins the game" against some other choruses when you really want to tweak the tone with lot of effect.

Already became a classic
Difficult to find something similar to this one-rack unit nowadays... All analog 250 Volt 2x12AX7 tubes preamp with three channels: Clean, Classic distortion and Modern distortion, plus an active EQ with parametric mids and 99 programmable MIDI banks. It also has effects loop and built-in HUSH noise gate. If I ever decide to trade it for another gear, I would need three or four pedals like distortion, EQ, boost and noise gate.
