Experience the freedom of crystal-clear sound with the ISP Technologies Decimator G-String, a noise gate pedal that's as powerful as it is versatile. Designed for musicians who demand the best, this pedal brings rack-quality noise reduction to your pedalboard, eliminating unwanted noise without sacrificing your tone. Its dual-channel architecture offers flexible signal routing, making it perfect for complex setups. Fidelity

It really does not seem to change any of your tone when its on. I used it with a very noisy high gain distortion and there is a very sensible position on the knob where it really cuts the fading feedback right after palm mutting the guitar and does not mess with the sustain on riffing or soloing. I bought it used and the 9V input jack has broken after only using it twice. Using with battery was also not working as it was some signs of battery leakage in the compartment, I really need to open it and see what is damaged to turn it on again.

You can gate your effects loop and guitar at the same time with the G version. you have to pick one or the other with the standard version.

Charles Elliot, guitarist for Abysmal Dawn, confirms in a rig rundown with MetalSucks that he uses the ISP Technologies Decimator G-String.

I think this is the best pedal for noise reduction on the market if you want to avoid going the rack gear route. It doesn’t affect the harmonics, decay, or more subtle touches in your playing if you set it right. Some other noise reduction pedals don’t really do the job quite right or as good.
