Excellent

An incredibly powerful and easy to use VA. A true knob per function machine that makes programming a breeze. Love the filters on this bad boy, and the modulation options are varied enough to keep all but the most fanatical synth programmer happy. Considering how cheap these babies go for at the moment, there is no excuse for a serious synth buyer to add one of these unique sounding units to their studio.

Industry standard

I use this to mic up a cab that's sitting in an iso box, and so far it I've got no complaints. It's my first mic so I can't really compare it to anything else, but so far so good !

Very Good

An excellent mid range interface that represents very good value for money. Nicely transparent pres combined with the option of ADAT expansion make it perfect for the home studio. My only issue is with the volume knobs, as the tiny little indicator bump on them are the same colour as the knobs themselves making it very hard to see what volume the unit is at.

Twin headphone out is a nice bonus, and the routing software, although daunting at first, is actually incredibly flexible and a breeze to get you head around after a bit of experimentation.

Classic for a reason

There's not much to say about this classic analogue monosynth that hasn't already been said in the last 30 years.

Although the build quality of the mini is not quite as solid as many had hoped, for the price you really can't go wrong, as sonically it sounds near identical to the original (plenty of comparisons available on youtube to confirm this).

The lack of a preset save feature is a blessing in disguise as it really forces you to think about what you're creating, and each time you sit down in front of it you will discover something new.

Special mention goes to the MS20 filter section, which is not only one of the best features of this synth, but also one of the best sounding filters I've ever used (I even prefer the Korg filter to the Moog, and the DSI Curtis just pales in comparison - blasphemy I know).

If you're not looking for instant preset gratification, this the monosynth you want !

Brilliant

If you're looking for that classic Vox tone in a neighbour (and wallet) friendly sized package, look no further.

Featuring twin EL84 tubes and two 12AX7 pre tubes, 3 band EQ, 7.5/15 Watt switch, clean and hi gain settings (labelled Thick/Bright), 8 and 16 Ohm outputs and a classy exterior all come together to create a pretty amazing little package.

I mainly use it for the crystal cleans, but the 'Thick' channel option is no slouch at creating old school metal tones, and it's often my 'go to' head when I want to create some buzzing, high gain black metal riffage without having to resort to tone sucking pedals.

One of the few bits of gear I don't ever see myself selling.

Passable

If you want an ultra cheap way to add some inputs to your existing ADAT compatible interface then this unit may be for you. Bare in mind though that you do get what you pay for.

Don't expect an amazing or even good sounding unit. It's functional for its price, and second hand makes for a value for money interim measure until you can afford something better.

I read many reviews hailing this unit for its sound quality, but was left feeling pretty disappointed after A/Bing the pres against the Focusrite Scarlett. It definitely didn't sound anywhere close to the Scarlett pres, with the output on the Behringer being significantly muddier, particularly in the high mids.

Still, for the peanuts I paid for it compared to other options it's passable, but I will for sure be upgrading to something better once I have the money.

NB : There is apparently a newer model that features Midas designed pres, so I'd recommend tracking one of those down if you're going to go down the Behringer route.

Best In Its Class

I've tried many analog delay pedals in this price category, and this one is by far the clear winner. As cliched as it sounds, there's no other way to describe the repeats on this unit than as 'warm' and 'lush'.

On the right settings it adds a dreamy quality to your tone, with the repeats gently melting away, their lingering presence felt subconsciously rather than heard. Some analog delays I'd tried offered up harsh, unmusical repeats (cough 616 cough), but not so with this pedal. Even the self oscillation sounds great, so far that I've even used it in a few of my tracks.

Its simple layout, solid construction and eye catching color contribute to a pretty impressive package for the price. If I had to give any negatives, it's that the blue LED may be a little too bright, making it hard to see the knobs in low light situations. That's a minor nitpick. If you're looking for a true analog delay and you don't need long delay times (300ms tops with this baby), then look no further.

Delay pedals have come and gone from my board, but the Aqua-Puss has and will continue to be a constant in my effects repertoire. See for yourself, I don't think you'll be disappointed !
