AMAZING

This is my first time owning a USA Core PRS. Immediate number 1

Sure its a tuner!

Does exactly what it says on the tin while taking up very little space in both the pedalboard and in your bank account.

Amazing pick

Bought them for fun since I'm a massive JR fan and they are perfect. not the best for acoustic playing but for riffing out and shredding (as terrible as i am at shredding...) they are the best pick I've ever tried.

Excellent guitar at an excellent price

I managed to get this as B Stock for almost half the price it originally retailed for and in PERFECT condition. Not a single mark on it anywhere. The neck has the same profile and satin finish as my other SE. Even at the original price youre getting a serious guitar for the money. The Alpha & Omega humbuckers are fantastic for clean or heavy playing. Id be seriously interested in getting one of the other models of this guitar considering how solid this is. It weighs quite a bit but I like a good hefty solid guitar. Im starting wonder if I should even bother saving for a full fledged US PRS at this rate as both of my SEs are far superior to any of the Fender stuff i have owned. Even if youre not a Periphary fan (Im not a fan of the band, i like Marks playing but i was more interested in the specs) this wont disappoint.

Fantastic TS type pedal

The Bad Monkey was SO good that Ibanez had to step in and tell Digitech to back the F off... its a fantastic cheap alternative to a TS pedal and I prefer it to any TS's ive tried (TS808, TS9, Mooer Green Mile, TS Mini) with the exception being the Boss Blues Driver. This is most likely because i never liked the nasally tone i found you get with a TS. I found the likes of the TS mini and the Mooer to be far too dark for my taste. The fact that you can use this straight into a PA means i have 3, one on my board, one in my bag on the off chance my amp decides it doesnt like living anymore and the 3rd boxed up at home as a backup. Get them while they are cheap.. or dont so i can keep buying them as i see them!

One of the best!

The BOSS BD-2 has been on my list of effects that I've wanted since i was a teenager. My brothers friend who was a fantastic musician used 2 of them, one as his main drive, the other to boost it into saturated heaven. I only have one myself but it took me 15 years to finally get around to getting one. I've gone through roughly 20 or so drive pedals (if not more) in that time, constantly trying to find something I love that I could say is MY tone. I have that with my Battlehammer (look in my gear for that) but i had to have a BD2 because i could never escape its allure. I love stacking it with the Bad Monkey as it makes it sustain for days. I use this as my primary drive when im doing covers, the BH is for the heavier stuff. I use it a lot and dialled back a bit when writing for passages that i want a lighter drive running as i feel it sounds better dialled back than the likes of the Hotwax (I think the HW is better dimed for that amp like crunch)

I have always adored this pedal, I would think with other effects that its due to the history I had with it while learning how to play and trying to find my own sound all those years ago but i think the BD 2 speaks for itself. Its infamously fantastic and I think its a pedal all other ODs should be compared to for how versatile they are. Easily in my top 3 effects units I've ever tried!

Very versatile with few issues

The MS3 is VERY easy to programme and set up as you would expect from a BOSS product. I had owned one about a year ago which i sold as it gave me the bug for a switcher. I have since come back to it as its essentially now my Modulation effects and a switcher. I was going to go for an ES5 and the Boss MD 500 but this just made more sense to have both in one. My only 2 gripes, which are the same as when i first had are: 1. I wish there was a 5th present in each bank as 4 options can be restricting as i like to add in certain things when i feel like it. To combat this i simply placed a delay after the MS3 so i can switch it on whenever i like and i have placed 1 drive before it so i can add in dirt or boost (as its a dual drive) whenever i please. 2. There is only a Midi out. While i now have no Midi effects (with the MS3 i dont feel like you NEED them since it has so much built in) its still nicer to have the option if i chose to expand. Yes, with the Midi out you can still have the MS3 switch your units parameter or bank etc, but cant have it in the loops the same way you could with having the Midi In unless you then run that into one of the 3 inputs which are most likely going to have other drives in there anyway.

Aside from those 2 things, that are very easily admissible, it is an excellent unit.

The inbuilt effects are fantastic quality and its a solid built machine. Its very user friendly and there are a million and one tutorial videos online (highly recommend Rabea Massaads tutorial)

The way i looked at this was its essentially a BOSS MD500, RV500 and DD500 in one machine with the option to set up loops. Very handy even if its just used for the time/mod end of your board and nothing more.

EDIT I wanted to add that I'm aware of the functionality differences between the MS3 and the BOSS 500 series pedals such as the ability to have more than 1 effect on at one time, such as 2 delays on the DD at one time and 2 reverbs on the RV etc. I'm aware some may wish to do this for stereo set ups which i do not use so it makes no odds to me.

Amazing pickups - amazing company

Deacci is a company based in Northern Ireland and is run by Declan who makes fantastic hand made pickups. The Hellraisers are my own custom wound set but Declan does numerous pickups and combinations for every guitar type and music from PAF and heavy humbuckers to silky smooth strat types. He is a gent to work with. I highly recommend looking into Deacci.

Great Tape mode

I bought both the Digitech Obscura and the Polara Reverb at the same time. I think they both show just how good Digitech are becoming (in comparison to their older "boss size" effects). So good that i am considering buying the Nautila Chorus/Flanger. They both come with rubber guards so your knobs wont be turned if you happen to hit your foot off it or you carry your pedalboard (like me) in a soft case. Im a big fan of tape delay and the tape on this leaves nothing to be desired. I am also running a Mooer Re-Echo in the tape setting and set up for longer delays while this is currently being used as more of a slapback for lead. I am seriously considering buying a second to leave set up for the longer delays as its far superior to the Mooer. very easy to get a great sound from and the trails switch just adds extra options, especially if you are using for those longer delays.

Fantastic diverse reverb

One of the best reverbs i have used to date. My amp has built in reverb but this is far superior. Usually a Spring fan i found the only fault in this that the Spring setting was a bit too bright and shimmery for me than i found in the HOF by TC but that forced me to go outside my normal choice and explore other alternatives which has just opened up a wealth of options. Im currently switching between using it on the Hall or Room settings and using my amp for any plate reverb i wish to use at the time. Highly recommended.

amazing drive

The two drives work extremely well together. Can go from a lovely medium or low gain and use them to boost each other be it clean or gain. You can take it from a lovely warm drive to searing lead. The Crayon side also being boosted by a TS type is fantastic also. This combined with another drive (such as a TS as mentioned) gives you loads of options for sounds with plenty of gain on tap. Im primarily using the Tubes side the rhythm and boosting to a fantastic lead tone with the Crayon.

LA Based custom guitar picks that are amazing for all styles of playing

Swiss Picks come from a man, a myth and a legend that is Pete in Los Angeles. The grip and feel is exceptional, favored by shredders for their speed and feel. I am no shredder, im a grunge head and still find them to be perfect for me. I use a combination of the Rusty Cooley and Sharp Cheddar depending on what I'm playing. Check them out, you wont be disappointed!
