The Fender Precision bass is obviously a versatile and famous bass, with many bassists in the 60s acquiring and using it in their records. Trevor is seen with a Fender Precision bass in this mimed performance of Hold Tight, most likely in the sunburst finish, judging from the shade. Trevor would then replace it with his Epiphone Rivoli but came back with Fender with his Jazz Bass in the future.
Avg price: $594.14
In this 1966 performance of Hold Tight, Dozy is seen playing a Danelectro Longhorn Bass, which has an interesting design for its time. The Longhorn is famously used by John Entwistle in several performances, but Trevor had used it occasionally, specifically, this freeway performance of Hold Tight. The bass's whereabouts are and were unknown after this performance. It may just be a temporary purchase by Trevor.
Ian "Tich" Amey
Roles:
Guitars used by Ian "Tich" Amey on Hold Tight!
Semi-Hollowbody Electric Guitars
Avg price: $3,499.00
As seen in the picture above, Tich is using, what appears to be, a Gibson ES-335 finished in cherry red. Tich would use this Gibson extensively throughout their early years and progressing through until the late 60s' where Tich would use other guitars. Tich would use the Gibson to record Hold Tight, with the signature fuzz tone, heard in the intro and in the solo. His Gibson ES-335 would be fitted with a Bigsby Vibrato and with the standard Humbucker pickups. The model year is unknown, but it is most likely a late-50s to early 60s model.
