Guitars used by Kiko Loureiro on Dystopia

Classical & Nylon-String Guitars

Takamine H8SS Hirade Concert Classical

This Takamine Hirade H8SS Nylon Acoustic was owned by Kiko Loureiro.

We composed a song called Conquer or Die. And the intro of the song is only classical. So, the song Conquer or Die from Megadeth from the Dystopia album was recorded with that Takamine Hirade.

Solid Body Electric Guitars

Ibanez RG652KFX Prestige

Avg price: $14,750.00

This Ibanez Prestige RG652KFX Fixed Bridge Electric Guitar was owned by Kiko Loureiro.

A Grammy winner guitar, is the RG 652 from Ibanez. So, this guitar was the guitar that I used maybe 90 percent of the time for recording rhythms for the Megadeth album, Dystopia.

The listing has this as a RG752 which is wrong because this guitar is a 6 string.

Guitars used by Dave Mustaine on Dystopia

Solid Body Electric Guitars

Dean Dave Mustaine Zero - Dystopia

Dave Mustaine's latest signature. His "Zero", Dean's modernised version of the Gibson Explorer. It features the artwork of Megadeth's latest album, Dystopia, released January 22, 2016.

Snare Drums used by Chris Adler on Dystopia

Snare Drums

Mapex Black Panther 14x6" Matt Halpern "Wraith" Snare Drum

Avg price: $580.00

Chris Adler used the Mapex Black Panther 14x6" Matt Halpern "Wraith" Snare Drum while recording with MEGADETH, as confirmed by Adler himself in an interview with Blabbermouth. He explained, "Right away, that was funny. Because the first thing, when Dave called me to come and do the ['Dystopia'] record with him, I came in with my normal LAMB OF GOD set, with the snare drum, and we started playing a couple of songs. And within maybe a song and a half, he's, like, 'Listen, you're playing great, but that snare drum does not fit MEGADETH.' And so we went and actually used the Mapex Wraith, the Matt Halpern drum, on the MEGADETH record, which fit in much better to that kind of sound."
