In an interview conducted by Amit Sharma of musicradar on Oct. 19, 2017, Thomson is quoted as saying "This is the new Petrucci signature head that’s based on the Mark IIC+ - which had that classic Dream Theater and early Metallica sound. It’s probably the best amp I’ve ever played and I’ve been using it over the last year of touring on the Gray Chapter cycle" and “Despite the fact I have my own signature amp, I’ve just started using this one. I’ll still plug in my Riveras on different stuff - they’re great amps in their own right - but I’ve never been so impressed by one amp."

At 15:52 in the video Mick says that he's using celestion k-100 speakers in his iso cabs.

On Mick Thomson's pedalboard, a Maxon overdrive can be seen here. He tells the reporter of his use of it as a boost on live setting as well as use in studio.

To the left of the Carbon Copy is Mick's tuner. This one is made by Peterson.

The black box on the top left corner is a Pedal Power 2 Plus. Despite being taped, the identity is quite clear.

Mick as well as Jim Root use MiDi Foot Controllers by Voodoo Lab.

Above Mick's GT-Pro is an Audio-Technica rack. While the print is small, it clearly displays that this is the AEW-RS200 model.
