Effects Pedals used by Cronos on At War with Satan (Bonus Track Edition)
Tech 21 SansAmp Bass Driver Direct Input
Avg price: $234.05
Simplicity is key for Cronos, as far as gear and getting his sound go. “I’ve always been able to walk up to any amp, with my bass, plug it in and, I’m not kidding you, within five or 10 minutes, I’ve got my sound. It’s because I know what I like to hear. My sound is very specific, but even with just the three buttons of bass, treble and middle, I can get it. It’s in the bass – it’s in the wood, man.” He adds: “I’ve really cut back on a lot of pedals now. I still have two overdrives – the bass Sansamp and a Boss Metal Zone. I sometimes use a digital delay if I’m going to do a solo or something like that. And of course if we’re doing ‘At War With Satan’ I’ll put the phaser in.
