I was actually shopping for a DL4 and was pointed towards the M9. It takes up roughly the same amount of space on your board as the DL4. It does everything the DL4 does, and also the MM4, the DM4, and some other tasty effects. However, stay away from the distortion (yellow) effects. They are thin, tinny, and feel lifeless. All the other models are fantastic, albeit, not analog. I am finding new, but subtle, ways of using this to keep things interesting for the live performance environment. I highly recommend grabbing at least one expression pedal (you can use 2 for added control) to make full use of the M9. Try this thing, you won't be disappointed.

This pedal took me a while to dial in, and it doesn't play well with other pedals. I needed a buffer before and after the Huckleberry, however, some effects have built-in buffers. I usually have my "Juice" set around 3 o'clock, any higher and it starts squealing. Once dialed in this thing stacked VERY well with an OCD (V7). In short, spend lots of time playing with all the controls and where it sits in the signal chain before deciding to keep it.

If you're looking for a completely transparent boost pedal this is the one. It can boost up to 20dB without colouring your tone at all. The PrimTime (tm) switching allows you to either switch it on and off as you would normally expect to, but also allows momentary operation if you hold the switch down. The smaller size makes it easy to patch it into your existing chain, wherever you choose to place it.

Loaded with an Eminence Governor and Wizard this cabinet is a beast. I run my 1970s Garnet Session Man into it; a match made in heaven.

I was given this amazing early 70's Garnet Session Man by an ex-cop who lived in the basement suite of a house I once lived in. He heard me play and offered me his amp that he "bought for $50 at some random yard sale that's just collecting dust" in his garage. This one in particular is what Garnet called a "Stencil" amp; Garnet amp builder, Gar Gillies, built and supplied amplifiers labelled as other brand names, in this case it's a "Pro II". The "Effects" channel is very Plexi, but not quite all Plexi, the Master Volume has a tasty little hidden trick... I am currently using it as a head powering a Geezer 2x12 cabinet loaded with Eminence speakers; a Governor and a Wizard.
