Akher Zapheer is a pioneering Arabic rock band hailing from Amman, Jordan, formed in 2007 by Basem Sayej. Known for their unique blend of Arab alternative and Jordanian pop, the band initially made waves with their debut album Converse Culture in 2013, which addressed social and cultural issues in the region alongside personal narratives. After a brief hiatus, the band was reformed with three new members, continuing to enrich the Middle Eastern music scene with their innovative sound and outspoken lyrics.
