How to Sound Like Animotion
Animotion’s sound is characterized by bright, synth-driven melodies and rhythmic, danceable beats. Their music combines the glossy sheen of synthesizers with a crisp, driving rhythm section, creating an irresistible pull on the dance floor. The guitar work, often employing effects such as the Fulltone Full-Drive2 Mosfet and Fulltone GT-500 Booster/Distortion, adds an edge to their lush synth layers, providing a dynamic contrast that enhances their energetic tracks. Drummers like Kevin Rankin, using kits like the Spaun Acrylic Series Drum Set, inject a steady, pulsating groove that complements the band's upbeat and melodic style. This combination of electronic and rock elements defines Animotion’s sound, making it both timeless and instantly recognizable.
