About

Beady Eye was an English rock band formed in 2009 by former members of the iconic group Oasis, following the departure of Noel Gallagher. The lineup included Liam Gallagher (vocals), Gem Archer (guitar), Andy Bell (bass, later guitar), and Chris Sharrock (drums). Known for their blend of rock, alternative rock, indie rock, Britpop, psychedelic rock, and Madchester styles, Beady Eye carved out a distinct identity while maintaining echoes of their Oasis roots. Their music is characterized by a mix of nostalgic rock elements and modern twists, showcased in their albums Different Gear, Still Speeding and BE.

How to Sound Like Beady Eye

Beady Eye’s sound is both nostalgic and fresh, combining vibrant, melodic guitar riffs with a confident, driving rhythm section. Their sonic character leans towards a layered and textured rock vibe, often enhanced by the use of classic gear like the 1962 Epiphone Sheraton with Tremotone Vibrato played by Gem Archer, which adds a rich, jangly tone to their tracks. Andy Bell’s use of the Boss DS-1 Distortion provides an edge to their sound, injecting a gritty, yet controlled distortion that complements their energetic performances. Liam Gallagher’s vocals, backed by dynamic guitar interplay and solid, punchy drumming, complete their distinctive rock aesthetic, making Beady Eye a compelling continuation of the Britpop legacy.
