About
Black Grape is a British musical group known for their eclectic blend of alternative dance, Britpop, and Madchester influences. Formed in 1993, the band originated from the ashes of the iconic Happy Mondays, led by former frontman Shaun Ryder (vocals). Joining him is Paul "Kermit" Leveridge (rapper), previously of the Ruthless Rap Assassins, alongside Bez (percussionist and dancer), Wags (guitarist), and Ged Lynch (drummer). Their sound is a vibrant fusion of psychedelic dance-rock with a distinct hip-hop edge, which gained prominence with the release of their debut album It's Great When You're Straight...Yeah.
