Flowered Up was a British band emblematic of the late '80s and early '90s Britpop and Madchester scenes. Formed in 1989 in a Camden housing estate, the group consisted of Liam Maher (vocals), Tim Dorney (keyboards), Joe Maher (guitar), Andy Jackson (bass), and John Tovey (drums). They became known for their energetic live performances and their role in London’s response to the Madchester movement, often compared to bands like the Stone Roses and Happy Mondays. Alongside their main lineup, Flowered Up featured Barry Mooncult, an eccentric dancer who added visual flair to their stage shows.

Flowered Up’s music captures the raw energy and hedonistic spirit of the early '90s with a sound that is both rhythmic and psychedelic. Their sonic character is vibrant and layered, mixing groovy bass lines and jangly guitars with lush keyboard textures.
