Blessid Union of Souls is an American alternative rock band that emerged from Cincinnati, Ohio, in the early 1990s. The group was founded by Eliot Sloan (vocals, songwriter) and Jeff Pence (guitar, songwriter), and later joined by C.P. Roth (keyboards) and Eddie Hedges (drums). Known for their blend of alternative rock and pop rock, the band achieved widespread popularity with their 1995 debut album Home, which featured the hit single "I Believe". Their music is characterized by a mix of pop, R&B, and folk influences, often referred to as "rural soul" by the band itself.
